Danillo is a Brazilian bass player from Recife/PE, with a Music Education degree at UFPE ( Federal University of Pernambuco) and a bass performance degree at Conservatory of Pernambuco. His musical path began 12 years ago and since then he has performed in several different musical ensembles. Just to name a few he has worked in big Bands, jazz groups, worked with local artists, symphonic bands as well as directing his own group specializing in Brazilian jazz.
Along with performing, Danillo also composes original music and has shared it at important festivals that focus on the sound of Brazilian rhythms and has been featured as a composer for the documentary “Eu quero é Frevo.” For the past two years he has been traveling the world on cruise ships backing up artists from all around the world which has led him to the Norwegian Bliss playing the Broadway Show “Jersey Boys” and “Havana.”
He has been fortunate enough to share the stage with Tony Award nominees like: Josh young, Aaron Lazar, Emily Skinner and Andrea Burns and is excited to see where his musical career will take him next.
